**THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED**

The Murie Science and Learning Center
promotes scientific research to aid park managers and provides science-based education programs and information to the visiting public, educational institutions and students. The Center is a cooperative of partners working with the National Park Service and these positions will be employed through Alaska Geographic, the primary non-profit partner.

Interns have opportunities to be involved in education programs ranging from one hour to multi-day courses, administrative duties, front desk operations, and program logistics as the summer progresses.

The educational program opportunities include 1-hour science-based presentations and activities in the MSLC building, as well as half day bus/walking educational excursions that focus on Denali’s wildlife research. On multi-day courses, an MSLC staff person serves as the guide and plays the lead role in group management, driving, safety, leave-no-trace practices, field camp management, cooking, and logistics.
