Explore the Denali fault line and Nenana River with Denali geologist Phil Brease. Witness this evolving landscape as we raft the Nenana Canyon on the second day.

Accreditation
The University of Alaska Anchorage offers one professional development credit (level 500) for an additional $69 fee. The 10% member discount does not apply to the credit fees.

Times and Location
Participants meet at the Murie Science and Learning Center, located at mile 1 of the Park Road. This course begins at 8:30 am and ends at 5:00 pm each day.

Hiking Distances and Physical Fitness

Field Seminars are active learning experiences. Participants must be capable walkers, in good health, and equipped for sudden changes in weather. This course includes up to four miles of hiking and/or 1,000 foot elevation gain per day, over uneven terrain. This course also includes a whitewater rafting (no experience required).

Lodging and Meals
Lodging is not included. A continental breakfast and bag lunch is provided each day.
